If you are trying to conceive and seeking medical help you can expect few fertility tests done by your fertility expert.
- Always meet the doctor as a couple so that it will be helpful to investigate.
- Detailed history and examination will be done for both male and female partners.
Tests you can expect
- Semen analysis
- Pap smear – to check abnormal cells in the neck of your womb.
- Ultrasound – to check shape and lining of your womb, polycystic ovaries, number of eggs in the ovary.
- Blood test on day two of your periods – to check your hormones.
- HSG – to check whether your tubes are open.
Depending on the results of these tests you will be asked to do further investigations.
